Pidayi is a film about social reformation and women`s dignity, centered on the clash between tradition and modernity. The story follows Narayani, an educated young woman who marries into a traditional family led by Paatri Bhojanna. While she embraces their joint family culture, she challenges their customs regarding the treatment of women during menstruation. This creates an uncomfortable situation that even prevents Bhojanna from performing his rituals. The film explores how he deals with this conflict, seeking a solution with the blessing of the Devi.
